Three people have been arrested by the Upper West Regional Police Command in connection with the murder of a Fulani herdsman.
The suspects, John Dakurah, Numbuzie Chawinaa, and Tankpare Sylvester, are being held in connection with the death of Demo Jeti, who was found in a jungle near Kuntaali village.
“Preliminary inquiry indicates that the dead went his cattle to the Kuntaali wilderness for grazing in the morning of 1st July, 2022, but only the herd came home later that day without him,” said the Police in the Region. The deceased’s lifeless body was later discovered lying between Chari and Kuntaali villages.”
The body was sent to the Regional Hospital in Wa for an autopsy before being returned to the deceased’s family for burial.
Meanwhile, police said the accused are being held and will be arraigned soon to face charges.
